Who we are

This privacy policy applies to financecalcapp.com ("the Site", "we", "us"). The Site provides free financial calculators as an informational service. Questions can be directed to our contact page.

Information we collect

Information you provide directly

The Site does not require registration, login, or any personal information to use the calculators. All calculator inputs (salaries, loan amounts, ages, etc.) are processed entirely in your browser and are never transmitted to our servers.

LocalStorage

The Net Worth Tracker and your selected region preference are saved in your browser's localStorage so your settings persist between visits. This data never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, standard server logs may record your IP address, browser type, referring page, and pages visited. This is standard web server behaviour and is used solely for security and performance monitoring. We do not currently run first-party analytics.

Cookies

The Site itself sets a minimal cookie to remember your cookie consent choice. Beyond that, we do not set first-party cookies.

Third-party advertising cookies: We display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our Site and/or other sites on the internet.

Some calculator pages link to external sources (government tax pages, reference data). Once you leave our Site we have no control over and accept no responsibility for those sites' privacy practices.

The Site is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

European / UK residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing of, and port your personal data, and to object to processing. Because we collect minimal personal data and none through our calculators, most of these rights relate to data held by third-party ad providers. To exercise rights regarding Google's data, use Google's privacy controls.

California residents (CCPA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To opt out of interest-based advertising, visit optout.aboutads.info.

Data retention

We do not store calculator data. Server logs are retained for up to 30 days for security purposes. LocalStorage data persists in your browser until you clear it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
