Founder & Editor
Mitch Duncan is the founder and editor of Finance Calc App. He has a computer-science background and years of hands-on personal-finance study, and built the site after getting frustrated with financial calculators that were US-only, paywalled, or designed to funnel users toward affiliate products instead of just giving a straight answer.
To be clear about what this is: Mitch isn't a licensed financial adviser, accountant, or tax professional, and Finance Calc App doesn't pretend to be one. It's a set of free, transparent tools. What we do promise is rigour — every formula is documented on the methodology page, every tax rate is taken straight from the relevant government source (IRS, HMRC, CRA, ATO), and brackets are refreshed within two weeks of each market's official publication. Mitch personally researches, builds, and maintains every calculator and guide. When a question needs personalised advice, we say so and point you to a qualified professional rather than guess.
Editorial standards
All calculators and guides are researched and written by named authors. Every tax rate references a primary government source; every formula is documented on the methodology page. We publish our full editorial policy so you can understand exactly how we work and hold us accountable.
